YangJie 6c05459600 [SPARK-35838][BUILD][TESTS] Ensure all modules can be maven test independently in Scala 2.13
### What changes were proposed in this pull request?
Similar to SPARK-35532, the main change of this pr is add `scala-2.13` profile to external/kafka-0-10-sql/pom.xml, external/avro/pom.xml and sql/hive-thriftserver/pom.xml,  the `scala-2.13` profile include dependency on `scala-parallel-collections_2.13`, then all(34) spark modules can maven test independently.

### Why are the changes needed?
Ensure alll(34) spark modules can be maven test independently in Scala 2.13

### Does this PR introduce _any_ user-facing change?

- Pass the GitHub Action Scala 2.13 job

Dongjoon Hyun 631a85ed9b [SPARK-34650][BUILD][SS] Exclude zstd-jni transitive dependency from Kafka Client
### What changes were proposed in this pull request?

This PR aims to exclude `zstd-jni` transitive dependency from kafka-client.

### Why are the changes needed?

To prevent future conflicts, the followings are removed. We should use Spark's zstd-jni dependency consistently.

Chao Sun b6f46ca297 [SPARK-33212][BUILD] Upgrade to Hadoop 3.2.2 and move to shaded clients for Hadoop 3.x profile
### What changes were proposed in this pull request?

This:
1. switches Spark to use shaded Hadoop clients, namely hadoop-client-api and hadoop-client-runtime, for Hadoop 3.x.
2. upgrade built-in version for Hadoop 3.x to Hadoop 3.2.2

Note that for Hadoop 2.7, we'll still use the same modules such as hadoop-client.

In order to still keep default Hadoop profile to be hadoop-3.2, this defines the following Maven properties:

```
hadoop-client-api.artifact
hadoop-client-runtime.artifact
hadoop-client-minicluster.artifact
```

which default to:
```
hadoop-client-api
hadoop-client-runtime
hadoop-client-minicluster
```
but all switch to `hadoop-client` when the Hadoop profile is hadoop-2.7. A side affect from this is we'll import the same dependency multiple times. For this I have to disable Maven enforcer `banDuplicatePomDependencyVersions`.

Besides above, there are the following changes:
- explicitly add a few dependencies which are imported via transitive dependencies from Hadoop jars, but are removed from the shaded client jars.
- removed the use of `ProxyUriUtils.getPath` from `ApplicationMaster` which is a server-side/private API.
- modified `IsolatedClientLoader` to exclude `hadoop-auth` jars when Hadoop version is 3.x. This change should only matter when we're not sharing Hadoop classes with Spark (which is _mostly_ used in tests).

### Why are the changes needed?

Hadoop 3.2.2 is released with new features and bug fixes, so it's good for the Spark community to adopt it. However, latest Hadoop versions starting from Hadoop 3.2.1 have upgraded to use Guava 27+. In order to resolve Guava conflicts, this takes the approach by switching to shaded client jars provided by Hadoop. This also has the benefits of avoid pulling other 3rd party dependencies from Hadoop side so as to avoid more potential future conflicts.

### Does this PR introduce _any_ user-facing change?

When people use Spark with `hadoop-provided` option, they should make sure class path contains `hadoop-client-api` and `hadoop-client-runtime` jars. In addition, they may need to make sure these jars appear before other Hadoop jars in the order. Otherwise, classes may be loaded from the other non-shaded Hadoop jars and cause potential conflicts.

### How was this patch tested?

Relying on existing tests.

Dongjoon Hyun 290aa02179 [SPARK-33618][CORE] Use hadoop-client instead of hadoop-client-api to make hadoop-aws work
### What changes were proposed in this pull request?

This reverts commit SPARK-33212 (cb3fa6c936) mostly with three exceptions:
1. `SparkSubmitUtils` was updated recently by SPARK-33580
2. `resource-managers/yarn/pom.xml` was updated recently by SPARK-33104 to add `hadoop-yarn-server-resourcemanager` test dependency.
3. Adjust `com.fasterxml.jackson.module:jackson-module-jaxb-annotations` dependency in K8s module which is updated recently by SPARK-33471.

### Why are the changes needed?

According to [HADOOP-16080](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-16080) since Apache Hadoop 3.1.1, `hadoop-aws` doesn't work with `hadoop-client-api`. It fails at write operation like the following.

**1. Spark distribution with `-Phadoop-cloud`**

This serves two purposes:
- to unblock Spark from upgrading to Hadoop 3.2.2/3.3.0+. Latest Hadoop versions have upgraded to use Guava 27+ and in order to adopt the latest Hadoop versions in Spark, we'll need to resolve the Guava conflicts. This takes the approach by switching to shaded client jars provided by Hadoop.
- avoid pulling 3rd party dependencies from Hadoop and avoid potential future conflicts.

When people use Spark with `hadoop-provided` option, they should make sure class path contains `hadoop-client-api` and `hadoop-client-runtime` jars. In addition, they may need to make sure these jars appear before other Hadoop jars in the order. Otherwise, classes may be loaded from the other non-shaded Hadoop jars and cause potential conflicts.

Gabor Somogyi 6b5e0e2469 [SPARK-29054][SS] Invalidate Kafka consumer when new delegation token available
### What changes were proposed in this pull request?
Kafka consumers are cached. If delegation token is used and the token is expired, then exception is thrown. Such case new consumer is created in a Task retry with the latest delegation token. This can be enhanced by detecting the existence of a new delegation token. In this PR I'm detecting whether the token in the consumer is the same as the latest stored in the `UGI` (`targetServersRegex` must match not to create a consumer with another cluster's token).

### Why are the changes needed?
It would be good to avoid Task retry to pick up the latest delegation token.

### Does this PR introduce any user-facing change?
No.

### How was this patch tested?
Existing + new unit tests.
Additionally executed the following code snippet to measure `ensureConsumerHasLatestToken` time consumption:

Jungtaek Lim (HeartSaVioR) 594c9c5a3e [SPARK-25151][SS] Apply Apache Commons Pool to KafkaDataConsumer
## What changes were proposed in this pull request?

This patch does pooling for both kafka consumers as well as fetched data. The overall benefits of the patch are following:

* Both pools support eviction on idle objects, which will help closing invalid idle objects which topic or partition are no longer be assigned to any tasks.
* It also enables applying different policies on pool, which helps optimization of pooling for each pool.
* We concerned about multiple tasks pointing same topic partition as well as same group id, and existing code can't handle this hence excess seek and fetch could happen. This patch properly handles the case.
* It also makes the code always safe to leverage cache, hence no need to maintain reuseCache parameter.

Moreover, pooling kafka consumers is implemented based on Apache Commons Pool, which also gives couple of benefits:

* We can get rid of synchronization of KafkaDataConsumer object while acquiring and returning InternalKafkaConsumer.
* We can extract the feature of object pool to outside of the class, so that the behaviors of the pool can be tested easily.
* We can get various statistics for the object pool, and also be able to enable JMX for the pool.

FetchedData instances are pooled by custom implementation of pool instead of leveraging Apache Commons Pool, because they have CacheKey as first key and "desired offset" as second key which "desired offset" is changing - I haven't found any general pool implementations supporting this.

This patch brings additional dependency, Apache Commons Pool 2.6.0 into `spark-sql-kafka-0-10` module.

## How was this patch tested?

Existing unit tests as well as new tests for object pool.

Also did some experiment regarding proving concurrent access of consumers for same topic partition.

* Made change on both sides (master and patch) to log when creating Kafka consumer or fetching records from Kafka is happening.

Gabor Somogyi 7d72c073dd [SPARK-28760][SS][TESTS] Add Kafka delegation token end-to-end test with mini KDC
### What changes were proposed in this pull request?
At the moment no end-to-end Kafka delegation token test exists which was mainly because of missing embedded KDC. KDC is missing in general from the testing side so I've discovered what kind of possibilities are there. The most obvious choice is the MiniKDC inside the Hadoop library where Apache Kerby runs in the background. What this PR contains:
* Added MiniKDC as test dependency from Hadoop
* Added `maven-bundle-plugin` because couple of dependencies are coming in bundle format
* Added security mode to `KafkaTestUtils`. Namely start KDC -> start Zookeeper in secure mode -> start Kafka in secure mode
* Added a roundtrip test (saves and reads back data from Kafka)

### Why are the changes needed?
No such test exists + security testing with KDC is completely missing.

### Does this PR introduce any user-facing change?
No.

### How was this patch tested?
Existing + additional unit tests.
I've put the additional test into a loop and was consuming ~10 sec average.

Ryan Williams afd9bc1d8a [SPARK-17807][CORE] split test-tags into test-JAR
Remove spark-tag's compile-scope dependency (and, indirectly, spark-core's compile-scope transitive-dependency) on scalatest by splitting test-oriented tags into spark-tags' test JAR.

Alternative to #16303.

Shixiong Zhu 9293734d35 [SPARK-17346][SQL] Add Kafka source for Structured Streaming
## What changes were proposed in this pull request?

This PR adds a new project ` external/kafka-0-10-sql` for Structured Streaming Kafka source.

It's based on the design doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19t2rWe51x7tq2e5AOfrsM9qb8_m7BRuv9fel9i0PqR8/edit?usp=sharing

tdas did most of work and part of them was inspired by koeninger's work.

### Introduction

The Kafka source is a structured streaming data source to poll data from Kafka. The schema of reading data is as follows:

value | binary
topic | string
partition | int
offset | long
timestamp | long
timestampType | int

The source can deal with deleting topics. However, the user should make sure there is no Spark job processing the data when deleting a topic.

### Configuration

The user can use `DataStreamReader.option` to set the following configurations.

Kafka Source's options | value | default | meaning
------ | ------- | ------ | -----
startingOffset | ["earliest", "latest"] | "latest" | The start point when a query is started, either "earliest" which is from the earliest offset, or "latest" which is just from the latest offset. Note: This only applies when a new Streaming query is started, and that resuming will always pick up from where the query left off.
failOnDataLost | [true, false] | true | Whether to fail the query when it's possible that data is lost (e.g., topics are deleted, or offsets are out of range). This may be a false alarm. You can disable it when it doesn't work as you expected.
subscribe | A comma-separated list of topics | (none) | The topic list to subscribe. Only one of "subscribe" and "subscribeParttern" options can be specified for Kafka source.
subscribePattern | Java regex string | (none) | The pattern used to subscribe the topic. Only one of "subscribe" and "subscribeParttern" options can be specified for Kafka source.
kafka.consumer.poll.timeoutMs | long | 512 | The timeout in milliseconds to poll data from Kafka in executors
fetchOffset.numRetries | int | 3 | Number of times to retry before giving up fatch Kafka latest offsets.
fetchOffset.retryIntervalMs | long | 10 | milliseconds to wait before retrying to fetch Kafka offsets

Kafka's own configurations can be set via `DataStreamReader.option` with `kafka.` prefix, e.g, `stream.option("kafka.bootstrap.servers", "host:port")`

### Usage

* Subscribe to 1 topic
```Scala
spark
  .readStream
  .format("kafka")
  .option("kafka.bootstrap.servers", "host:port")
  .option("subscribe", "topic1")
  .load()
```

* Subscribe to multiple topics
```Scala
spark
  .readStream
  .format("kafka")
  .option("kafka.bootstrap.servers", "host:port")
  .option("subscribe", "topic1,topic2")
  .load()
```

* Subscribe to a pattern
```Scala
spark
  .readStream
  .format("kafka")
  .option("kafka.bootstrap.servers", "host:port")
  .option("subscribePattern", "topic.*")
  .load()
```
